To get IEEE citation samples in Zotero or Mendeley, you need to first select the IEEE style from the both style manager and then use it to generate citations. For a book, the sample citation would look like: M. Johnson, Modern Education Techniques, 3rd ed. Boston: Education Press, 2022. For a journal article, it would be: L. Smith, “Technology in the Classroom: A New Era,” Journal of Educational Technology, vol. 10, no. 2, pp. 45-50, 2023.
In-text citations IEEE uses a numbered system, so you'll insert the reference number in brackets. For example, "Smith states that..." or "This principle was discovered by Archimedes [5-8]". To cite a range of references, Zotero can automatically convert multiple individual numbers into a range, like [5] [6] [7] [8] to [5-8]
